ELEGOO UNO R3 Starter Kit — How Far Does It Actually Get You?
The UNO R3 is a clone of the Arduino Uno. Same ATmega328P chip, same pin layout, same IDE compatibility — at about 40% the cost of the official Genuino board. For learning and prototyping, the difference is zero.
What the kit includes (counted)
63 components across 19 types: LEDs, resistors, capacitors, a 1602 LCD, servo, ultrasonic sensor, IR receiver, relay, potentiometers, breadboard, and jumper wires. The 36-project tutorial PDF covers beginner through intermediate level.

What you’ll need next
After exhausting this kit, the natural next purchases are: a 9V power supply for standalone projects, an L298N motor driver module ($3), and additional sensors from the ELEGOO sensor kit (30 sensors for $15).
